Raven Maldonado, LMHC
Raven is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with approximately 20 years of experience practicing in both community based and private practice settings. Raven values relationship and compassion above all else and centers both in her practice and in her interactions with everyone around her. Her deep connection to how people experience one another and react to life’s challenges is what drives her as a clinician. She’ll say that this is something she’s felt since she was a child, growing up in the 80s, in a large Puerto Rican family where the abundance of joy was sometimes met with pain. These lived experiences shape who she is and allows her to build authentic relationships with her clients. Raven has worked with individuals and families experiencing a range of issues from anxiety to grief to child behavioral needs and parent-child conflict and has also trained clinicians in several clinical interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Parent Training, Trauma-Informed clinical work, Treating Co-Occurring Disorders, and many others. Raven has also trained clinicians in cultural competency and is passionate about how culture and identity play a critical role in how we experience life. For the past several years, Raven has also served as a leader in organizations supporting employee growth, wellness, and engagement.
When not working, Raven spends her time with husband, Charlie, their 2 kids and very often with their fun-loving extended family. She loves music, laughter, a good show, and of course experiencing joy alongside her friends and family.
Charlie Goodman
Charlie has over 25+ years of experience in the IT and Human Resource industries. He was a Technology Consultant for the first half of his career then boldly made a career transition to HR. In Human Resources he dedicated 15+ years to Talent Acquisition, Career Coaching, and most recently to Compensation Analysis with a focus on Pay Equity and Pay Equality. 10+ of those years have been either working at or with Fortune 100 companies. Looking at his career journey and the paths he’s taken, he points to his mother and stepfather as the people who instilled the strong work ethic he has today. He visited them at work throughout his childhood and saw firsthand what commitment and ambition looked like for his family. His mother worked her way from a temp Legal Secretary role to an Accounts Manager position and over the years, he was able to see what upward movement was like in a corporate setting. His stepfather was a long-distance truck driver, which was a tough job both physically and mentally. Occasionally, Charlie was able to tagalong on trips with him and was in awe of his stepfather’s strength and dedication to the work. Those moments shaped Charlie and continue to guide and motivate him to this day.
Charlie is more than just another career coach, resume matcher or someone trying to get people into seats hoping that they fit a role or company’s culture. He is about building transformative relationships with the people he serves and helping them access the skills needed to advance in their careers.
When he’s not working, Charlie enjoys spending time with his wife, Raven and their two kids. Museums, playgrounds, sports, or a good 500-piece puzzle brings him to his happy place!
